even though i'm not moving out till thursday, it's tonight that feels like the end of an era...

wow, i'm surprised i even remembered my password haha

i love how i go through incredible cycles with blogging/diaries. i'll write in them regularly until one day i just stop for a really long period of time (in this case a year).  and then i find them again and think, huh, i should pick this up again.

so now my junior year is over haha. i can't remember if i'd written about getting to the honor's college, but i did and am now currently finishing up my application for their integrated undergraduate/graduate program. everything has been worked out through the anth department so they officially consider me to be a grad student, but i still have stuff to complete through the SHC and they won't review my application until after the school year starts so i'm really nervous about that lag time and what might happen if they reject me, but just have to hope for the best.  so next year is technically my senior year and first year of grad school. eep!

and this summer i will finallllly be here for arts fest! can't wait.

so it's AUGUST!

finallllllllllllly the best month evar!! and it couldn't be starting off any better - got a call this morning that i didn't have to come into work today and from now until the 17th i only work 5 to 10 instead of 6. amazing.  i do like my job and the people i work with, but my future is definitely not in retail. sorry.

and tomorrow my penn state peeps are coming in! i'm so excited to see zach & jecca, and sarah will come down friday. anna and lynds will be here in spirit haha, i'm going to be carting around my mom's camera since anna isn't here.  i don't know what we're going to be doing, aside from jecca and i having lots of mini business meetings. between classes, housing, la vie, thon, etc we have a lot of crap to discuss. hopefully she brings lots of board games.  nothing like hashing out the details of finding a house over a game of

 !!!!!!!!

and then next tuesday is my 21st!!! the highlight of which will be renewing my driver's license. if i do it before my birthday they'll give me another crappy jr. license, so i'm hoping that by postponing it this late (my license expires the next day O.o) i'll get a regular/adult one.  of course i possibly won't get the paperwork from penndot until the day before i leave from college, but it'll work out one way or another. next weekend then matt's coming in so i'm hoping that him, jeremy, megan and i can go out for drinks somewhere - it'd be fun. then the next weekend is my last week working, that weekend i'll be out in NJ helping matt move and then the 22 i'm going back to State! august will be going by pretty quickly i think.

i can't wait.

the spring 08 semester courses were put up today on schedule of courses (technically yesterday i suppose).

i made a list of classes i'm interested.

i outlined the potential schedule of my first choice classes.

i am extremely excited about some of them (aka the anthropology ones). and if i get that schedule i will only need 3 anth credits, and 1.5 GHA credits and i will be done taking classes for my major - aka if i didn't need additional elective credits i could graduate early.

am i crazy? probably. however, i have heard that honors kids schedule before everyone else on campus. the first listed scheduling day is september 10 (if you have 131 credits). so there's a possibility that i will have to schedule my classes before that. so i think that that justifies planning it out about 3 months before anyone else will even begin to think about spring classes.

yeah, i'm definitely crazy.

ps. i am also researching the process involved with getting my bachelors and masters degree at the same time when i graduate from undergrad. it is possible and i will do everything possible to try and get it.
